Sometimes dressing up bare walls can be a challenge especially when you don’t know what to do or just can’t find affordable wall art . I found a place with so many kinds of art I literally felt like a child in candy land and super affordable.
I took this before shot when I was working on this living / dining room which I will post soon. This wall was yellow, had a lot of holes drilled by the previous person who lived in this house. The curtains were not pleasing to look at either. I started by painting the whole room white. While painting we sealed the holes.
Buying The Art
I went on etsy.com, signed up for an account and looked for art. I found a store called coastal style prints. The owner sells a wide variety of digital art, from tropical, nature, coastal, landscape, food and so much more. I found these set of 4 coral prints for a total of about KSh. 1500. Once I paid, I got a link to the digital files and downloaded them.
After downloading the files, I printed the coral prints to fit my frame. I was amazed at how glossy the picture prints were.
I got 4 matted frames in black. You can also use any frames you have at home. I inserted the printed photos and got ready to hang them on the wall.
I measured 1 inch between each frame and hang up the photos by drilling. You can use hooks for smaller frames. To keep the frames from moving around, I used sticky tape on four corners of each frame. Lastly I put new curtains and a few pillows on the sofa as accessories. The whole process took a few hours only and turned out really good. (See first pic).
